Construction Steels

Masteel UK Limited supplies high quality structural steels to the global construction industry.

Our structural grade steel plates are used in civil engineering projects, and this supply also crosses over into the offshore, shipbuilding and high strength steel sectors.

As part of our services to the construction industry we also supply a wide range of pre–fabricated steel sections.

S460NL & S460ML

Unlike any other structural specification under EN10025 S460 material does not have any direct equivalents in ASTM or Shipbuilding (ABS/BV/LR) designations.

S460NL & S460ML is used in a number of offshore and onshore applications e.g. legs supports for a jack up platform offshore and as mooring piles for a LNG onshore terminal.

S460NL
A normalised material with a minimum yield strength of 450 N/mm2 that has been impact tested at -50°C. S460NL is produced under European designation EN10025-3.

S460ML
A thermo-mechanically rolled material with a minimum yield strength of 450 N/mm2 that has been impact tested at -50°C. S460ML is produced under European designation EN10025-4 (TMCP).

Masteel UK Ltd are able to supply a wide range of S460 material (in both normalised and TMCP conditions), our material ranges from 6mm to 80mm thick and up to 3 metre’s wide and 12 metre’s in length.

S355JR, S355AR & S355J2/K2+N

S355 – a structural grade steel with a minimum yield strength of 355 N/mm².

Commonly used in the engineering and construction industry, S355 offers high yield and tensile strength and is supplied with a variety of treatments and test options making it a highly usable steel in your construction project.

Masteel UK Limited can supply S355 from stock to customers on a worldwide basis.

About S355 Common Steels

S355JR
A structural grade (S) with at minimum yield strength of 355 N/mm²m, the JR designation confirms that the steel has undergone longitudinal Chary V-Notch impact testing at 27J (Joules) at room temperature. Other Charpy designations include JO, J2 and K2.

S355AR
A structural grade (S) with the same minimum yield strength of 355 N/mm²m, but supplied in an ‘as rolled condition’.

S355J2/K2+N
As S355JR but Charpy tested at 40J (Joules) at -20°C and supplied in the normalised condition.

The above steels represent only a small example of the quality range of S355 steels available for supply from Masteel UK Limited.
