About S275 Common Steels
S275JR
A structural grade (S) with at minimum yield strength of 275 N/mm²m, the JR designation confirms that the steel has undergone longitudinal Chary V-Notch impact testing at 27J (Joules) at room temperature. Other Charpy designations include JO, J2 and K2.
S275AR
A structural grade (S) with the same minimum yield strength of 235 N/mm²m, but supplied in an ‘as rolled condition’.
S275 structural steel plate is a versatile material which can be used in a wide range of construction and engineering applications.
