ASME SA387

The ASME SA387 standard covers the supply of weldable chrome molybdenum alloy steel plates for pressure vessels used in elevated temperature service.

The added molybdenum and chromium provides excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance respectively.

ASME SA387 standard plates are used by the world’s leading fabricators who in turn, supply primarily to the oil and petrochemical industry. Applications for ASME SA387 include pressurised vessels, industrial boilers, heat exchangers and pipework.

Sourced from some of Western Europe’s finest steel mills, Masteel UK Limited stock a wide range of ASME SA387 Class 2 plates which are available for shipment worldwide.

SA387 Grade 91 Class 2

SA387 Grade 91 Class 2

Where resistance to high temperature and good anti-corrosion characteristics are required, ASME SA387 Grade 91 Class 2 carbon alloy steel plate is a material to consider. It is a pressure vessel grade steel which is used commonly by fabricators who supply the oil and gas industry.

Due to the materials excellent corrosion resistant properties, SA387 Grade 91 is also an option for use in sour service environments. The material has good weldability and with its heat resistant qualities, the material is a highly versatile steel which can be used in numerous applications.

Masteel can supply SA387 Grade 91 steel plate from stock to global destinations with mill certification and stampings.
