MAS450 AR Abrasion Resistant Steel (450 Brinell)
MAS450 AR is Masteel’s designation for 450 wear plate with 450 Brinell hardness.
This 450 abrasion steel uses a martensitic structure to deliver high strength and hardness. It performs reliably in heavy wear environments. The material cannot undergo heat treatment, but it cuts and welds easily. It also offers good formability for fabrication. Engineers classify this grade as 450 wear plate. The actual hardness range varies by thickness, as shown below
